Masia Piu, 2020-2021, Sony a7iii - 50mm, 70mm f2.8

After driving along the west coast of France and into the Basque Country, weaving through the mountains of Aragon, and eventually arriving at the calming Mediterranean, the van life crew decided it was time to split. My compass pointed toward the Penedès mountains near Vilafranca in Spain, where the Masia Piu family hosted me for two months.
We kicked things off by getting my hands dirty—building a cabin and maintaining the roofing systems in brisk winds and sharp sunshine. Midway through my stay, I took my friends to Barcelona for the day, only to return shortly after to help one of them retrieve his stolen passport (taken from my van during that first trip). My camera bag—including an expensive macro lens and hard drive—was also stolen and, sadly, still remains lost.
I wrapped up my WWOOF (Working on Organic Farms) experience by celebrating Christmas, New Year's, and my birthday with the Masia Piu family, along with some of their friends from Holland who brought a ton of fireworks for the occasion.
I left a piece of my heart on that farm.
