Van Life, 2020-2021, Sony a7iii - 50mm, 70mm f2.8
Van Life 2020 began with a group of like-minded friends navigating the fog of confusion during a time of global meltdown. While the world was losing itself over a seemingly convincing infectious apocalypse, we stayed strong and refused to conform to the "new normal."
During the lockdowns, we focused our attention not on the news, but on our vans—building homes that would become our escape shuttles from the island of Jersey into the grand, open landscapes of France and Spain.
Along the way, we encountered the wonders of nature—forgotten by many in favor of a comfier and safer life behind closed doors, away from the invisible enemy. This made surfing, hiking, city exploring, camping, and simply living on the road feel even more peaceful and rewarding.
Eventually, our team went their separate ways, and I continued documenting my life as a rubber tramp.
